There do not appear to be studies that reported clinical trials of preventing anemia with vitamin D.
However, based on results for other diseases as well as for the PTH-serum 25(OH)D relation, (PTH levels decrease as 25(OH)D increases up to about 30 ng/ml, then changes slowly)1, it would be reasonable to keep serum 25(OH)D levels above 30 ng/ml.
